KIPP Ujima Village Academy

KIPP Ujima Village Academy, founded in 2002 by Jason Botel, is now run by Interim Principal, Jallon Croskey. KUVA is a public charter school serving over 700 students in grades 5-8.

KUVA is located in the Roland Patterson building at 4701 Greenspring Ave. Part of the middle school process also includes finding college-preparatory high schools for our eighth graders and that support is provided by the KIPP Through College Program. KUVA students go on to attend public schools, public magnet programs, private schools, parochial schools and boarding schools across the country. Many students attending tuition-driven programs also receive scholarships. At KUVA, we strive for excellence in every area of the lives of our students. Our motto is Excellence without Exception.

The mission of KIPP Ujima Village Academy is to empower students to explore limitless options and achieve their dreams by developing the skills and habits in academics, advocacy, and character necessary to succeed in college and life.
